Welcome to the Idaho Service Challenge website. By accessing or using this website, submitting an act of service, or participating in the Service Challenge, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.

Purpose of the Website

The America250 in Idaho Service Challenge exists to inspire, track, and celebrate acts of service across the state of Idaho in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

This website is intended for informational, community engagement, and volunteer-tracking purposes only.

Participation & Eligibility

Participation in the Service Challenge is open to individuals of all ages, families, schools, organizations, and community groups.

By submitting an act of service, you confirm that:

  • The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • The act of service was completed voluntarily

  • You have permission to submit the information, including photos if applicable (see the full terms and conditions).

Logging Acts of Service

Participants may log acts of service through the website’s submission form.

Each submission represents a good-faith report of an act of service completed. Idaho Service Challenge team reserves the right to review, edit, decline, or remove submissions that are inappropriate, inaccurate, or inconsistent with the mission of the Service Challenge.

Submitting false or misleading information may result in removal of entries.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

  • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate

  • Violate any laws or regulations through your participation

  • Use the website for commercial solicitation or promotion

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website

This website may not be used for political campaigning, fundraising (without approval), or activities unrelated to community service.

Photos, Content & Submissions

By submitting photos, descriptions, or other content, you grant America 250 in Idaho a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and share the content for purposes related to the Service Challenge, including promotional and educational materials.

IDAHO SERVICE CHALLENGE: CONTENT SUBMISSION & MEDIA RELEASE AGREEMENT

By checking the box and submitting media (including but not limited to photos, videos, audio, and written stories) to the Idaho Service Challenge, you (“the Submitter”) agree to the following legally binding terms:

1. Grant of Rights You hereby grant to the Idaho Service Challenge, the State of Idaho, and its authorized partners, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Licensed Parties”), a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, edit, publicly display, and broadcast your submission in any and all media now known or hereafter devised. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Official Idaho Service Challenge and America250 in Idaho websites and social media channels.

  • News outlets, television broadcasts, and print media (local and national).

  • Podcasts, radio, and digital advertising.

  • Promotional materials, reports, and commemorative archives.

2. Representation of Consent (Third-Party Likeness) By submitting this media, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the sole owner of the copyright or have explicit permission from the copyright owner to submit this material.

  • You have obtained express, informed consent from every person appearing in the photo or video (or from a parent/guardian if the subject is a minor) to have their image, likeness, voice, and name used by the Licensed Parties for the purposes stated above.

  • The submission does not infringe upon the privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights of any third party.

3. Release of Liability You hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Licensed Parties and their media partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that you or any person appearing in the media may have, including but not limited to:

  • Claims for defamation, libel, or invasion of privacy.

  • Claims regarding the blurring, cropping, or editing of the media.

  • Claims for compensation or royalties.

4. No Obligation to Use You acknowledge that the Licensed Parties are under no obligation to use, post, or publish your submission. All decisions regarding the use of submitted content are at the sole discretion of the Idaho Service Challenge.

5. Compensation You understand and agree that this submission is voluntary and that you will receive no financial compensation, now or in the future, for the use of the submitted content or for the rights granted under this agreement.

6. Termination Once submitted, the license granted herein cannot be revoked or terminated, as the media may be integrated into permanent archives or published materials.

Volunteer Activities & Safety

Participation in service activities is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion.

The Idaho Service Challenge does not supervise individual service projects and is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during service activities.

Participants are encouraged to:

  • Use good judgment

  • Follow local laws and safety guidelines

  • Obtain parental or guardian consent for minors

Third-Party Links & Services

This website may include links to third-party platforms, including volunteer opportunity partners such as JustServe.

The Idaho Service Challenge is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites. Participation on those platforms is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, logos, graphics, and design elements, is the property of Idaho Service Challenge or used with permission.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use website content without prior written consent, except for personal or non-commercial purposes related to the Service Challenge.
